Mechanic

Full-time with Medical & Benefits IN Kahului on Maui & Honolulu on Oahu

Compensation: Hourly - starting $29 per hour
Competitive pay based on experience, pay commensurate with mechanic certifications (ASE) and experience. Full-time position with Medical & benefits.

SpeediShuttle is Hawaii’s premier passenger transportation company operating on the islands of Maui, Oahu, Kauai and the Big Island. Locally owned, we have been providing the highest quality transportation services since 1999.

We have a full time and part time opening for a highly energetic, full of Hoʻokipa personality to join our Ohana as a "Mechanic".

Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

• Vehicle maintenance tasks, such as an oil change, tire rotation, or equipment repair, etc.
• Perform line technician services, routine inspections/maintenance, system diagnostics, problem solving ability
• Road test vehicles after repairs are complete to ensure mechanical soundness and to determine whether any other problems exist
• Document all work performed on the repair order
• Report any safety issues immediately to management
• Maintain strict adherence to Company policy on vehicle care and operation
• Adheres to hazards and safety precautions; wears personal protective equipment as required
• Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience conducting routine services and vehicle maintenance
• ASE certification preferred
• Demonstrated experience inspecting vehicles for faults and repairs
• Practical knowledge of vehicle diagnostic equipment
• Completion of an apprenticeship is advantageous
